"I've been to many hotels in Costa Rica over the years and I've never felt so at home as I did at AmaTierra. The food is excellent, the rooms are quiet and comfortable, and the care the owners take with every detail makes all the difference.
I also like that it's close to San Jose but still has that gorgeous Costa Rica mountain air.
It's not a spot I'd recommend to the dance party crowd, but if you like healthy living, early morning yoga (optional), a great library of books and DVDs, and pampering from two warm hosts and a great staff, then AmaTierra is a perfect place to land.
I also think it would make an excellent spot for a workshop or writers'/artists/ retreat."

"I must say the one thing that is so memorable, besides the wonderful managers, is the delicious food they serve. All natural and organic from the local area markets.
My partner and I stayed in a private, very clean casita that was surrounded by the magnificent rain forest and the many wild birds and small animals indigenous to the area. You're truly in mother-nature land !! On the property there is a hiking trail that leads to a meandering creek if you're adventurous. Your camera will not stop clicking, trust me on this one.
Our hosts (Bob & Jill) were amazing. Always around if you had a question or just wanted to chat.....
Be Ready To Enjoy A Good Time.... !!
We're planning our next Costa Rican Adventure soon !!
